Crowdfunding announcement for sequel of critically acclaimed Bokul

The makers of critically acclaimed Assamese film Bokul are planning for a sequel and you can help to make this possible. Director Reema Borah, an FTII graduate, and her team are looking for crowdfunding supporters towards production of Bisnu, a sequel to Bokul.  Bisnu (not spelled as Vishnu or Bishnu) will be a socio political film set in the backdrop of Assam.  Bokul, the debut feature of the director has created quite a buzz among film lovers and able to receive several awards including Best Director at the 2016 edition of Prag Cine Awards. Bokul is yet to have a theatrical release.

Crowdfunding is a go to option for young indie filmmakers to fund their projects. There has been couple of successful crowdfunding campaigns for Assamese films as well. The list includes National Award winner Kothanodi, Marksheet, and Dooronir Nirola Poja. The estimated budget for Bisnu is 40 lacs Indian rupees. They are accepting any amount generously.
